Travel Adventures of "Knot Kaos".
Farewell "Kaos" January 2022 we sold our beloved "Kaos" a 55' Symbol pilothouse trawler. Following four summers exploring the gorgeous west coast areas of Washington and British Columbia. With a heavy heart, we decided it was time to sell and follow other adventures. Fast forward to the summer of 2023, we yearned to be back on the water, realizing how much we missed the boating lifestyle and community. We began the search for a smaller, seaworthy trawler. After considerable research we settled on the American Tug 34'. Our decision to proceed was spurred on after reading an article about a Florida couple, Herb & Ruth Weiss, who at ages 97 and 104, yes, you read that correctly, had just purchased a new-to-them, 41' American Tug. Any thoughts we had about getting too old to boat to boat alone went out the window, and we followed another dream and found a 2006 American Tug 34 for sale in Chesapeake Virginia.
